Light Snow in 2020

There is one last month left in 2020. This year, from queuing to buy masks to hoarding rice, from the national “stay-at-home” policy to the second round of the pandemic, the incredible behaviour of the entire world can be defined by magic.

The year 2020 has an impact on me.

I reflect on myself from head to toe, inside and out. I hope to choose the key points in my limited time and energy. The things that are determined to never regret in a lifetime will be infinitely magnified and steadily implemented. I hope to be more careful in caring for my parents for the rest of my life. Also, I would like to respect and treat people or things sincerely because of fate. It is better to value today than to look forward to tomorrow. I hope to make abide by this promise.

In order to pursue a simple way of being in the world and not be entangled by superfluousness, I blocked part of the internal friction and performed subtraction in my life. By doing so, I feel as relaxed as a swallow.

To share some impressive things/moments:

During the pandemic, I learned how to cook and constantly practiced until I was satisfied. I put away the clothes and objects not commonly used at home. I read a few books on philosophy and religion. Also, during the severe months of the pandemic, I played the piano while singing and got along with everyone. I exercised regularly, so my ribs appeared on my waist and abdomen for the first time in my life. Like a student at home, I took calligraphy online classes and did homework. I have completed a few trips without plans as well.

It needs to be summarized at the end of the year.

The last wish of this year is to do a live charity event and donate the ticket fees to Yanran to ask the Foundation to help the children with a cleft lip palate. I would also appreciate the musicians who join me in this live show. Their participation has fulfilled my wish. I would also give thanks for the generous support of the cooperating brands. All of these makes Light Snow in 2020 romantic and moving.

I believe more in the energy that is gathered and generated by all of us.

Finally, Let’s do our best in this magical world.

Two Songs in Portugal – Travel to Portugal in 2019

Was there anything I still needed to think about? It’s simply perfect. In addition, what attracted me to this trip was solo travel. Finally, we met at Lisbon Airport, my feelings changed from anticipation to nervousness. After all, I only met three times with Lucy. It was a bit embarrassing to meet her again. We seemed to perceive shyness and tension from each other, and Lucy passed me a pack of cookies at this time. She said that she bought it in London and it was delicious, and she looked at me with a smile. I felt relaxed again.

Like two female classmates who lived on campus, we woke up in the morning and each found a comfortable corner to practice our musical skills. We discussed some uncoordinated harmonic structure and finally left the one assigned to this part to make judgments. Rarely, the three of us agreed on musical sound and tone, although all of us were very sensitive and critical.

A few days later, two songs, “Ericeira” (the name of the fishing village where I lived) and “I Understand Your Sadness” were born. I played the piano and she was in charge of the guitar, and the composition and vocals were completed by both of us. The last voice at the end of the song was my cheer.
