Galerie Vazieux announces duo show "Wall Reflections" featuring works by Peng Yong & Yang Yi

Galerie Vazieux and the Maison des arts de Pékin-Yishu 8, are collaborating together for the first time to present the work of two young artists who graduated from Beijing’s Central Academy of Fine Arts and won prizes at Yishu 8: Peng Yong (engraver and painter) and Yang Yi (painter).

About the Artists

Peng Yong (b. 1984, Hunan, China) is an artist specializing in printmaking and painting. A graduate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts of China (CAFA), he lives and works between Beijing and the city of Tianjin, where he teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts.

Winner of the Yishu 8 Prize in 2014, Peng Yong was welcomed in residence at the Cité internationale des Arts in Paris the following year. The artist collaborates with major French craft houses: Faïenceries de Gien in 2021, Maison Pinton in 2023. He exhibits regularly in China and abroad, and his works are part of numerous private and institutional collections, including the Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts of China in Beijing, the Shenzhen Printmaking Museum in China, the Museum of the Nouvel Institut Franco-Chinois in Lyon. In 2023, he won the prestigious John Moore Painting Prize in London.

Yang Yi (b. 1993, Nanjing, China) is a young painter and graduate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts of China (CAFA) and the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. She currently lives and works in Paris.
Congratulated by the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2019, Yang Yi won the Prix des Amis des Beaux-Arts de Paris (Khalil de Chazournes Prize) the same year. In 2021, she carried out a cross-residency at Chez Tante Martine – Yishu 8, Paris. Her work, acquired by numerous private collectors, has been the subject of solo exhibitions at the Hôtel Parister in Paris and the Nouvel Institut Franco-Chinois in Lyon.
