Poster of Absense

Dieter's job is to turn a surface into a space, and extend a space into a kind of spirit. Dieter's work often hangs in a space between walls. The surface stands out to become a cubic body. Or sometimes a geometric body as if from another invisible space is built within the current space to remind us of a possible parallel universe to this surface or beyond the void. Dieter often tries to discuss about the relationship between one space and another. His work floats freely between concepts and visual illusion. He is concerned with how delicately this world is built and how the instability and physical characters are constantly extended in the sentiment of poetry. Dieter's works often present a strong sense of design. The materials he uses all hint on futurism and minimalism. The works are associated with architecture, design and everyday objects. But they are very unreal at the same time.
