Convivia as the title of this exhibition means “thriving with diversity” which is a synthetic vocabulary of architecture. It also reflects the theme—exploring the communion of different life forms and life conditions, which contains an ecological concept—endless succession. The exhibition's content spans various professional field, aiming to discuss the intersection of art, design, and humanities in the digital age.

The exhibition presents the personal language of designers and artists and shows their concerned topics in the contemporary era. Under the transformed knowledge system through technological innovation, the artists insist on orienting towards humanity, deliver new values, and seek the integration and development of individuality, by design and art.

The seven exhibiting artists and designers, Dong Gong & Li Nu, Deng Yuejun, Li Tao, Ma Ke, Sui Jianguo, Zheng Da, Zhang Zhoujie, reflect on the future based on humanism. With the respect for nature, life and sustainable development, they are concerned about how the design returns back to mind, discuss the relationship between digital media and space, explore the innovation of 3D technology to art, utilize newly computer-generated designs and art, and contemplate on machine consciousness, intelligence, the inclusiveness of all things, etc..

It presents artists’ characterized way of thinking in the grand context of current times. The art world formulated from 7 individual cases of contemporary art is changing gradually the abundant and intertwined understanding of the surrounding reality. Through the works of each artist, featuring sympathy, texture, and locality, the classics are given lasting meaning in the rapidly developing digital age. Confronted by the cultural context of the integration of art and technology, artists revisit the classics while embracing the unconventional, questioning visitors on how should we choose our lives better.
