Russian art has a unique position in the history of world art as they have created art with realism and humanistic feelings. Outstanding works created before the October Revolution in Russia and during the Soviet era have extensively and positively affected Chinese art in the 20th century.
Chinese society, cultural and artistic circles have had widespread and profound influences from Russian and Soviet art. The brightness of the human nature infiltrates their works as well as the realistic character that has gone on greatly inspire Chinese artists.
Mountain Art Foundation has contributed lots of manpower and material resources to studies on the development of Chinese oil painting. With help from Prof. Shao Dazhen, Prof. Xi Jingzhi and other Russian friends who love culture and art, Mountain Art Foundation has preserved a number of important artistic works from China and Russia in the last twenty years. Looking forward to share their glory and charming taste with art lovers, the Mountain Art Foundation reorganizes nearly a hundred pieces of brilliant works for this national touring exhibition in this year.
