Founded in 1954, the Printmaking Department of CAFA was the first artistic department specialized in printmaking in China. Constitute of studios on woodcut, etching, lithography and silkscreen, it provides basic courses like drawing, color and printmaking since 1955 and all of its students are studio-based.
