The theme “Low-Cost” of the Fifth Painting and Handwork Exhibition will be held by PIFO Gallery on the 3rd of April.
PIFO Gallery explores the subject of painting and handwork, which is the beginning of Chinese modern art education. A new interpretation may be given in the practice of contemporary art. This is a permanent exhibition project for PIFO to held once every two years. The theme of “Low-Cost” continues to uphold the idea of thinking-by-hands in contemporary art practice. Low is an attitude, also a process; Cost is an appearance, also an attempt. However it is the possibility that shows in the art work when materials, forms and expressions have dominated. Say “NO" to the meaningless waste in contemporary art practice.
Eleven pieces from 10 artists will be shown at the Fifth Painting and Handwork Exhibition of “Low-cost”on 3rd April 2013. Artists are Dai Liang, Guo Hui, Han Wuzhou, Liang Shuo, Lu zhengyuan, Qiu Xiaofei, Qin Guanwei, Shi Haopeng, Shi Jinsong and Wang Junyi.
This exhibition will last until April 28.
