The exhibition features over 130 pieces of painting by Prof. Jiang Caiping, including categories of traditional Chinese realistic painting, heavy color painting, small ink freehand brushwork and pastels sketching on subjects of figure painting, flower-and-plant painting and landscape painting. The most influential work on show is Brilliant Life Of Song Qingling (triptych), which was created in 1991 and won golden prize of Chinese Meticulous Painting Society Exhibition(the second ) of the year and golden prize of Guan Shanyue Foundation of Chinese Artists Association in 1993. Jiang Caiping will donate this painting to NAMOC after the exhibition.
Professor Jiang Caiping was enrolled in Department of Chinese Traditional Painting of Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1959. Starting teaching in Department Of Chinese Traditional Painting of Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1962, Jiang Caiping specializes in teaching painting with exact delineation and enriched colors. She worked as Director of Traditional Chinese Realistic Painting Studio from 1985 to 1989 and was selected as Vice-chairman of Chinese Meticulous Painting Society in 1987. In September 2009, The 50th Anniversary Art Exhibition of Jiang Caiping’s Teaching Career was held at the National Art Museum of China, which was co-organized by Central Academy of Fine Arts and Chinese National Academy of Arts.
