As the world is increasingly in the grips of mass hysteria, Yang Jiechang brings auspicious images to Hong Kong with the solo exhibition "Good Morning Hong Kong." To be held at the Central Library Exhibition Galleries, this exhibition is part of the Le French May Arts Festival coorganized by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau. Marking Yang's return to the city since his last major exhibition at the Hong Kong University Museum and Art Gallery in 2001, "Good Morning" will feature his signature 100 Layers of Ink series of paintings and video installations, including several important works exhibited in "This is Still Landscape Painting," his 2014 solo exhibition at Ink Studio: the monumental 8-panel Black and White Mustard Seed Garden (Tale of the 11th Day series); Children Running 1, 2, 3, 4; and selections from the These are Still Flowers 1913-2013 and These are Still Landscapes 1913-2013 series, painted after works by the young Adolf Hitler.
