Recently, the Ministry of Culture proclaimed that the “General Office of the Ministry of Culture Announces the Reviewing Results of the 2015 National Exhibition Season of the Brilliant Collection from the Art Museum in China” and “General Office of the Ministry of Culture Announces the Results of 2015 National Art Museum Excellent Project”, the exhibitions and public education events declared by the CAFA Art Museum are awarded the three prizes, CAFA Art Museum continuously wins all the prizes of the “National Exhibition Season of the Brilliant Collection from the Art Museum in China” and “National Art Museum Excellent Project” which is now in its’ 4th year.

CAFA Art Museum Collection Series:
The Dimension of Tradition – Copying and the Collection for the National Traditional Painting by CAFA in the 1950s and 1960s The Dimension of Tradition – Copying and the Collection for the National Traditional Painting by CAFA in the 1950s and 1960s is the 4th round of the CAFA Art Museum Collection Series, in addition to CAFA Art Museum Collection Series: Selected Works of Chinese Painting Created in the Period of the National Beiping Art School, Selected Works of Oil Painting Created in the Period of the National Beiping Art School and Merging – From National Beiping Art School, Yan’an Luxun Academy of Literature and Art to CAFA (1946-1953) which were successively held during the past 3 years, these exhibitions do not only showcase the richness and research results of the art museum, they also keep an eye on the history of CAFA again, and cause many heated discussions in academic circles and society.2 2015 National Art Museum Excellent Project – National Key Art Museum Excellent Exhibition
The Temperature of History: CAFA and Chinese Representational Oil Paintings The Temperature of History started in China Art Museum, Shanghai at the end of April, 2015, and then it was successively on shown at the Imperial Ancestral Temple Art Gallery, Beijing and Jinling Art Museum, Nanjing, and it was supported by the National Art Foundation 2015 Propagation, Communication and Promotion Program, and it will tour to be shown in 7 art museums across the country in 2016. It outlines the creations by CAFA’s oil painter groups in different historical periods from the perspective of history, and also presents an essential value in oil painting from the correlation between oil painting and new Chinese cultural construction. The Second CAFAM Future Exhibition Series of Public Education Events The Second CAFAM Future Exhibition Series of Public Education Events planned the events around the theme “Observer-Creator/The Reality of Representation of Chinese Young Art”, designed for different target groups, divided into five parts including “Creator Workshop Exhibition”, “Thought and Future – the First ‘University and Art Museum’ Forum”, “Youth and Future • Series of Dialogues – Information Art and Creator”, “Creating Art • Talk Show: Open Forum” and “Creator Workshop”.About the awards:
“National Exhibition Season of the Brilliant Collection from the Art Museum in China” event is a branded project built by the Ministry of Culture since 2012, to encourage the state-owned art museums to enhance the level of research and collection and gradually promotes a system for fixed exhibitions in the collection. It selects 9 excellent awards from the 25 exhibitions involved in the event; at the same time, a total of 54 projects were shortlisted for 2015 National Art Museum Excellent Project which are selected by the Ministry of Culture, among them are 10 excellent national key art museum exhibitions, 25 excellent exhibition projects, and 19 excellent public education projects.
