As one of A Series of Artworks Donated to NAMOC 2016, this exhibition will display over 100 pieces of Wen Lipeng’s representative works, sketches and document literature at different periods of time. The show, which consists of 3 parts: figure, landscape and landscape sketch, will comprehensively reveal creative features and artistic achievements of Mr. Wen. Wen Lipeng was born in Hubei province in 1931 and he got enrolled in the Art Department of Northern University College of Fine Arts in the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Border Region in 1947. He graduated from oil painting tutorial class of Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1963 and he served as dean of Oil Painting Department of CAFA from 1983 to 1991. Wen enjoyed special allowance of the State Council from 1993. At present, Wen Lipeng works as a professor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Deputy Director of the Art Committee of China Oil Painting Society, Deputy Director of Oil Painting Art Committee of Chinese Artists Association. Wen Lipeng’s works have been shown in many countries and regions including France, German, Japan, Finland, Russia, Kuwait, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, etc. In addition, his works have been collected by several famous institutions such as the National Art Museum of China, the Museum of Chinese History, the Shanghai Museum, Fukuyama Art Museum of Japan, Taiwan Mountain Art Foundation and so on.
