Tomorrow Night! Red star Startup''s Debut

China Design Market is the largest Chinese design event in 2010 Milan Design Week. I am in charge with the design of the one of the exhibition pavilions named Red Star Startup. This very exhibition is in its international debut. Based on client''s expectation, here are the design concepts,

Explodes:

the Red Star symbol expands itself off to the entire interior surfaces, creating communications from all physical/virtual directions.

Expresses:

Conceptual videos/MVs have shown the history of the China Red Star Award over the past three years.

Immerges:

Immerging cone-like bookshelves are for the insights of the China Red Star Award.

“红星启动”於14日开展

由北京工业设计促进中心组织、意大利出版集团Rizzoli（中国）策划的”中国设计交易市场（CDM）”将於4/14在米兰设计周对全世界设计爱好人士发声，其中，”红星启动”是由我负责设计的展览馆，此展览馆是为了体现红星奖（中国创新设计红星奖 China Red Star Award）出现在国际舞台的”第一次”。设计基本概念是：

红星迸发：

从表现图中，可以看到红星奖的LOGO从室内表面（墙、地、版）中爆炸并分布各处，象徵著红星奖透过此次米兰落地并远递八方。

红星表现：

概念MV，以及过去三年来红星奖创建经过的点滴，透过12个LCD媒体表面，以无声播放形式，透过动态影像的介绍对全球工业设计关注者强力发声。

红星出头：

拔地而起的锥形移动书架，为来往米兰设计周的国际观众提供更进一步了解它内涵的信息。

Started in 2006 by BIDC (Beijing Industrial Design Centre) Red Star Design Award is the first contest dedicated to foster the development of Chinese innovative industry and entrepreneurial ambition by encouraging manufacturers’ independent innovation, enhancing products’ competitiveness, promoting Chinese design culture on the international stage.

附注：米兰设计周是以米兰家居沙龙为核心的设计盛会，同时也是世界上最大历史最悠久的设计节庆，来自200多个国家的40多万专业观众和上万名记者在每年四月涌入米兰，一周之内整个米兰顿时变成一个大展览馆，看的让人眼花撩乱。
